Welcome to the Christmas edition of "Getting to know your friends".

What you're supposed to do is copy this, change all of the answers so that they apply to you, then, send it or post it. The theory is that you'll learn known facts about your friends. It's fun and easy. You might be surprised with some of the things you learn about people you think you know...and this is different for everyone.

1. Favorite Christmas song? Oh, Holy Night (Although I don't agree with the line "Fall on your knees." I think it should be "Fall TO your knees." Falling on your knees is when you trip and fall. To your knees is in reverence. But, hey, that's just me.)

2. Ham or Turkey? I usually don't get meat if my mom's stuffing is on the table. Stuffing w/cranberry sauce. Yummy, yummy.

3. Ever had roasted chestnuts? Nope.

4. Favorite Christmas cartoon? Charlie Brown Christmas

5. Open Christmas presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Day

6. Best Christmas ever? When I was six and got my first little motorcycle. I got mad at Santa 'cause there was mud on the wheels. He shouldn't have been riding it! It was mine!!! (Okay, maybe not the best, but the most memorable. A close second is the year the hired hands quit at my Aunt and Uncle's ranch and we had to gather eggs the whole time we were there. Stinky and mean were those chickens. Three or four houses of them.)

7. Favorite Pie? Warm Tollhouse Cookie Pie a la mode

8. Cookies or carrots for Santa and his reindeer? Whatever sweets we have on hand and some milk. You don't want to feed reindeer too much, it will slow them down...

9. Fireplace for stockings? Yes

10. What time do you get up Christmas morning? Whenever we wake up at home. At David's family's house, we can't come down until we hear the Christmas music.

11. Garland or Icicles? Icicles!!! But my hubby doesn't like them so we don't use them. Plus, the cat will eat them and then hurk them out later...

12. Real or artificial tree? We've had the same artificial one for about 10 years now. It is getting a little musty smelling.

13. Candy canes or fruitcake? Candy canes.

14. Colored lights or white? Colored, but the white icicle lights on the eaves are be-u-ti-mus

15. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story or The Muppets' Christmas Carol.

Well, this is news to me!
