Thank you Barenaked Ladies...

4-yr-old "O Hanukkah,O Hanukkah, come light the menorah. Let's have a party. We'll all dance some more-a."

Of all of the songs on that album, he sings the two Hanukkah songs all of the time. We are sitting around at my Aunt's house right in the middle of Christmas dinner and he starts belting out "O Hanukkah".

Did I mention we aren't Jewish?

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Started a weblog.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don' t make resolutions. I have absolutely no willpower.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Lisa had "Chuck".

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Knock wood.

5. What countries did you visit?
Stayed in the States.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Patience, willpower.

7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August - David got activated, Chris started Pre-K, and I had a huge disagreement with one of my friends and it totally change our relationship.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving August!

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being able to handle all of the stress and having to take antidepressants.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I have been pretty darn lucky in that category, just boring old sinus infections.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
As a family, we bought a Honda Element. Personally, it was the Caller ID Infoglobe. That thing is so cool. But of course, me being me, I sat it on the subwoofer and the magnet fried it. No, wait, the best thing was my Olympus C-740 digital camera. I lurv it.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
David's. After my surgery, he was a ginormous help.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and disgusted?
Scott Whatshishame who supposedly killed his wife and unborn baby. You suck mister.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Payments on my mortgage and food.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Harry Connick, Jr.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
This Love by Maroon 5

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
About the same I guess.

b) thinner or fatter?
I think that falls under Noneya.

c) richer or poorer?
Richer, I guess.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Playing with Chris when he asked.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stuffing my pie hole.

20. How did you be spend New Year's Eve?
We watched on TV the ball fall in NY and then went to bed. We are in CST so we cheated.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
No. Just stayed there.

22. How many one-night stands?
Don't make me laugh, my lips are chapped.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
Frasier. Buh, bye. Desparate Housewives!

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope. The one person I hate is still the one person I hate.

25. What was the best book you read?
Lordy, I read too many to keep track.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Rufus Wainwright and Maroon 5 and Norah Jones.

27. What did you want and get?
Peace and quiet. No, wait, I didn't get that at all.

28. What did you want and not get?
Peace and quiet goes here.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Dodgeball!!!!!!

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 36 years old to the dulcet tones of Harry Connick, Jr. live and in person!

31.What one thing would have made your year measurably more satisfying?
If Harry would have invited me back to his dressing room. Heheheh. He's on my list, you know.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Jeans and tees. Just like ever year.

33. What kept you sane?
Reading novels to escape and Hornsby's Hard Apple Cider

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Vince Vaughn and The Rock. Wait, I thought you said "fantasy." They are coming out together in a new movie. I don't know what it is about or who else is in it, but Vince and Rock, I'm so there.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Presidential Election.

36. Who did you miss?
My aforementioned friend.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
I haven't met them, but there are a few blog buddies I have started web-hanging out with.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
Tetanus shots are a good thing.
