Friday, Jan. 21, 2005 - 3:55 p.m. Did I ever mention about the time I went in to have a baby and the epidural needle went in too far and hit a nerve and the cramping it caused hurt so bad it felt like my shoulders were trying to fold backward and touch each other and the hospital folks said they had no idea what was causing the cramping and I couldn't push the baby out 'cause the cramping was just a little more important to me at that time than pushing and the only thing that made the hurt go away was to sit up and finally I was going in for a c-section and they gave me another boost of epidural meds and they told me to lay down and I said I couldn't so they pushed me down and I wailed, "It hurts!" all the way down the hallway to the operating room and then I scared the nurse when she tried to strap my arm down and I was pleading with her, "Please don't." (Like I was getting ready to have lethal injection or something) and I cried some more and then the bestest anesthesiologist in the world finally rolled me over and pulled the needle out just a little and it felt so good I started asking the doctor if I was going to be able to play the fiddle when he was done and if he was using the rib spreaders ('cause I'm funny that way) and then my guts hurt and they put me out and when I woke up I had a nine pound, eleven ounce, twenty-three inch long baby boy and the first thing I said was, "I'm gonna throw up." and then the best anesthesiologist in the world turned my head to the side so I wouln't choke to death and then I went to sleep again and then when I finally came to for good, I was a mom! and we will celebrate the fifth anniversary of that two weeks from today. The End.
